Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive in Arusha and transfer to your hotel. Take time to relax from your journey or explore the town depending on your arrival time. Overnight at a midrange lodge in Arusha.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park (Tarangire NP)
Depart after breakfast for Tarangire National Park, famous for its elephants, baobab trees, and seasonal river. Enjoy a game drive with picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at a midrange lodge near the park.
Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park (Lake Manyara NP)
Travel to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse habitats and birdlife, as well as tree-climbing lions. After a full game drive, head to Karatu for overnight at a midrange lodge.
Day 4: Cultural Visit to Lake Eyasi
After an early breakfast, drive to Lake Eyasi for a cultural day with the Hadza and Datoga communities. Learn about their way of life, participate in a traditional bush walk or hunting experience, and enjoy local interactions. Return to Karatu for overnight.
Day 5: Drive to Serengeti National Park (Serengeti NP)
Depart for Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands. Enter the park in the afternoon and enjoy a game drive en route to your midrange tented camp in the central Serengeti.
Day 6: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti (Serengeti NP)
Spend the full day exploring central Serengeti, tracking predators, herds, and perhaps witnessing part of the Great Migration. Morning and afternoon game drives with meals and overnight at the same camp.
Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Ngorongoro CA)
Enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti before heading toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Optional stop at Olduvai Gorge. Arrive at a lodge near the crater rim for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Tour & Return to Arusha (Ngorongoro Crater)
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day safari in this unique caldera teeming with wildlife. After lunch, drive back to Arusha. Airport drop-off or overnight can be arranged.
